CMap Announces Leadership Transition and Accelerated Focus on AI

Letter from the Founder

When I founded CMap, my goal was simple but ambitious: to help professional services teams achieve the success their hard work and creativity deserves.

At the same time, my vision was to build a company that would last for decades – grounded in great products, great people, and long-term client partnerships.

That vision has brought us here today, where I’m excited to share an important milestone in our journey.  

To deliver on my passion for AI as an enabler for CMap and our clients, I am moving into a new role as Founder & AI Strategy Advisor, and handing the reins of CEO to Jon Stead, who is well placed to lead the business through the next stage of growth.

A new CEO for the next chapter

Jon has been with CMap since 2020, and in that time he’s worn leadership hats across strategy, product, marketing, and sales. He’s been instrumental in tripling the size of the company, expanding into new markets, and shaping our product direction.

I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jon over these years, and I can say with confidence that he is exactly the leader CMap needs for the next decade and beyond. Jon knows our clients, he knows our people, and he has the vision and drive to lead CMap into its next phase of growth.

A sharpened focus on AI

So, what about me? Well, I’m not going anywhere.

Technology is once again reshaping the world, and AI is set to be one of the most transformative shifts of our time. To ensure CMap and our clients thrive in this new era, I’ll be dedicating myself full-time to AI in my new role as Founder & AI Strategy Advisor.

That means two things:

• Embedding powerful AI functionality into our product, so our clients can unlock its full potential

• Driving AI adoption across our own business, ensuring every team benefits from the opportunities it brings

Right now, every company is asking itself how it will harness AI, and our clients are no different. That makes our mission very clear: to make CMap AI a natural, intuitive and empowering part of the software our clients already rely on to run their businesses.

Looking ahead

This leadership transition is an exciting next step for Jon, for me, for CMap – and most importantly, for the clients who trust us to power their businesses.
