Morris+Company

Summary

Established in 2018 with a diverse team of over 50 design and architecture professionals, Morris+Company is an international practice with offices in London and Copenhagen. With a strong portfolio of award-winning projects across workplace, housing, education and public buildings, including the R7 Office at London King’s Cross and the new Energy Hub in Elephant and Castle, Morris+Company’s methodology is using their inquisitive and explorative ethos to deliver landmark schemes with unique mixed uses.

Situation

In 2019, Morris+Company was looking for a solution to digitize their workplace and reduce administration across the whole business. The firm did not have a document controller in practice, and their filing system was not organized efficiently, which affected their overall productivity in project delivery. In addition, Morris+Company was also expecting to gain ISO9001 certification, and therefore emphasized the requirement of document naming compliance and the availability of audit trail. Morris+Company also desired to switch to using Microsoft Teams as their main communication application.

Solution

Morris+Company used Atvero mainly for their Quality Management System (QMS) workflow, email filing, contact management, and document management, with improved QA to support ISO9001 audit as well as enhanced naming and issuing compliance. Notably, the firm also used Atvero and SharePoint to manage data across other departments of the business, such as finance or HR, and not just projects. With the help of Atvero, Morris+Company was able to achieve standardized quality for project delivery, as well as ensure compliance beyond projects, with Atvero’s standardizations being applied to various sectors of the business.

Thanks to Atvero, Morris+Company was able to bring order to the firm’s filing system, improve document control, including naming, issuing, tracking and reporting, and reduce the overall workload of administration across the business as a whole. The company also benefited from Atvero’s ease of collaboration, both internally and externally, and therefore improving productivity and communication across project members.
