PeopleHR, your HR record
Your source of truth
What syncs
New PeopleHR employees, created as users in CMap
How it runs
Automatically through Zapier, usually within minutes of the employee being added
Works with
Your existing PeopleHR and Zapier accounts. No development
Included in
Every CMap plan, Consulting & AEC editions
Start from CMap’s published Zapier template and you are most of the way there. Connect the two accounts, check the field mapping, turn it on. This is a supported Zapier integration: CMap publishes and maintains the template, so there is no development work and nothing to install.
Yes. It is available on every CMap plan, on both the Consulting and AEC editions. You will need your own Zapier account, and Zapier’s plan limits apply to conditions and extra steps.
There is no matching step, so it always attempts to create. If the work email address is already in use by a CMap user the run fails and you can correct it; if the address differs, you end up with a second user for the same person. Load your current people into CMap before switching it on, and add a condition in Zapier if you only want part of your workforce included.
Nothing automatic. The workflow only runs when an employee is added, so deactivating a leaver in CMap remains a manual step or a separate automation you build.
No. This is a one-way flow, from PeopleHR into CMap. PeopleHR stays your system of record for people data, and nothing is written back to it.
The employee’s core details: name, work email, job title and start date, plus the office and team values you choose to map to CMap. Any other field on CMap’s Create User step can be mapped once your accounts are connected.
Yes, through Zapier. CMap publishes a ready-made template called "Create CMap users for new PeopleHR employees". When a new employee is added in PeopleHR, a user is created in CMap automatically. You need your own Zapier account, and the workflow runs in that account.
PeopleHR is one of the HR and people systems CMap connects to, alongside the accounting, CRM and collaboration tools your teams already use.
