Notifications & Alerts Integration

CMap + Gmail

Know the moment your pipeline moves.
An email lands in Gmail the instant a record is created or updated in CMap.
No one has to go looking for it.

What the integrations does

Eleven triggers. One inbox. Always in the loop.

Each of these is a ready-made Zapier template you switch on independently. Pick the ones your team needs, choose who receives each alert, and CMap does the rest.

Nothing re-keyed
Contact, company, opportunity and project details flow straight from CMap into the email, accurate every time.

Frequently asked questions

How is the integration set up?

Pick a Zap template for the CMap event you want to be notified about, connect your CMap and Gmail accounts, choose the recipient and what the email says, then test and publish. Each alert takes a few minutes to set up.

Is the Gmail integration included in my CMap plan?

The Gmail integration is CMap's supported Zapier integration, available on both the Consulting and AEC editions. The New Live Projects template is specific to the AEC edition. You will need your own Zapier account to run the automations, so check with your CMap Consultant if you are unsure whether Zapier access is enabled for your instance.

Does data flow back from Gmail into CMap?

No. This is a one way notification: CMap sends the data that populates the email, and nothing is read from or written back to Gmail.

Do I need a paid Zapier plan?

A free Zapier plan is enough to run these alerts. Your Zapier plan determines how quickly triggers run and how many emails you can send per month.

What triggers an email from CMap to Gmail?

Eleven ready-made triggers are available: new contacts, new companies, new potential projects, fee estimator updates, new leads, newly updated projects, closed projects, won projects, lost projects, new live projects, and timesheet submissions. Each is a separate Zap template you can switch on independently.

Does CMap integrate with Gmail?

Yes. CMap publishes ready-made Zapier templates that send an email via Gmail whenever a contact, company, potential project, fee estimate, lead, or project update, win, loss, closure, live start or timesheet submission happens in CMap.
