Project Management Integration

CMap + monday.com

Won work reaches the people who deliver it, the moment it lands.
Created once in CMap: no re-keying, no briefing email, no waiting.
A board of its own, or a row on the board you already run.

What the integrations does

Projects out. Delivery started.

The handover your team does by hand today happens on its own. Pick the shape that matches how your delivery team already works in monday.com, and shape the rest with Zapier.

A board per project
Every new CMap project creates its own board, named from the project and its client. Point it at a board template and each one arrives with your groups, columns and views in place.

A row per project
If you run everything from one board, each project lands as an item in the group you nominate, with an optional subitem to open the work with its first task.

Shaped to your process
Filter so only the projects that need a plan reach monday.com, route different teams to different workspaces, or add steps to fill in the columns your board runs on.
Why it matters

No re-keying. No waiting for the handover.

CMap runs the commercial side of the project; monday.com runs the plan. This connects the two at the point the work is won.
Set it up once
The project is created in CMap and appears in monday.com complete, without anyone typing the same job in twice.
Nothing sits waiting
Delivery sees the work the moment it is created, not at the next planning meeting or after a forwarded email.
Your structure, kept
Board templates, workspaces and groups are yours to choose, so new projects arrive exactly where your team expects them.
Yours to change
It runs in your own Zapier account, so you decide which projects flow through and can extend the same trigger to the rest of your tools.
getting set up

Live in an afternoon, not a project.

The integration ships as ready-made CMap workflow templates on Zapier. Three steps, then it just runs. Create a project in CMap and monday.com is updated on the spot, in the workspace, board and group you nominated.

Connect your accounts
Link CMap and monday.com in your own Zapier account.
Pick your workflow
A board for each project, an item on one board, or both.
Point it at your setup
Choose the workspace, template, board and group, then turn it on.

Frequently asked questions

Which CMap editions is the monday.com integration available on?

Both. The monday.com workflows work on the AEC edition and the Consulting (PSA) edition of CMap.

Do I need Zapier to connect CMap and monday.com?

Yes. The integration runs in your own Zapier account, which keeps you in control of exactly what syncs and when. Each workflow uses three steps, so you need a Zapier plan that supports multi-step Zaps. There is no middleware to build and no code to write.

Do later changes in CMap update monday.com?

No. Both workflows create a record and stop, so editing the project in CMap afterwards does not rename the board or update the item. CMap stays the system of record for the commercial project and monday.com owns the delivery plan from that point on.

Does it create a board or an item?

Whichever suits your team. There are two workflows. Use the board workflow if you plan each project on its own board, and the item workflow if you track every project as a row on a single portfolio board. You can run both, with a filter deciding which projects get their own board.

What data syncs between CMap and monday.com?

New projects flow from CMap to monday.com. The board workflow creates a board named from the project title and the client company, optionally built from your own board template. The item workflow creates an item named from the project title, in the group you choose, with an optional subitem. Nothing flows back from monday.com to CMap.

Does CMap integrate with monday.com?

Yes. CMap publishes ready-made monday.com workflow templates on Zapier. When a project is created in CMap, monday.com is updated automatically: either a new board is created for that project, or a new item is added to a board you nominate.
